Solar Electricity

Unlike solar thermal heating systems, solar photovoltaic (PV) panels convert energy from the sun into direct current (DC) electricity which is fed through an inverter to create alternating current (AC) electricity which can be used in the property.

Most modern PV systems are ‘on grid systems’, which means that they produce electricity during daylight hours which can be used in the home, with any surplus being sold back to the national grid.  In times when your demand exceeds the capabilities of the system, the shortfall is automatically drawn from the grid as normal.

The government Feed in Tariff makes solar PV systems particularly lucrative. As an MCS accredited company, our PV installations will qualify for support from the feed-in tariff.  As part of our proposal, we will provide a breakdown of the expected overall financial benefit of your system.
